Summary:
The information attached was first presented to the BOCC at the meeting on May 10th with the Board being in agreement to place this back on the Discussion Agenda with the option to move to the Action Agenda with further information and cost being provided at the May 24th meeting.
The attached letter is from the Stokes County Safety Committee related to the requested safety measures for the Green Box sites. There have been numerous incidents at the sites with the most recent one being May 3, 2021 when our employees safety was jeopardized.
Attached is a memo from Public Works Director Stewart Easter with a breakdown of the costs and a budget amendment for review if the Board elects to approve this item at this meeting as previously discussed.
