On Thursday May 13, 2021 interviews were held by the Board of County Commissioners to hire a new Assistant County Manager/Clerk to the Board due to the resignation of Shannon Shaver.

The Board of Commissioners unanimously selected Amber Brown and she has accepted the position with a start date of June 1, 2021.

NCGS states that you must formally approve this position at a BOCC Meeting.
